Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. 2 Thessalonians 2 verses 1 to 12
Deception is increasing at an alarming speed. Truth erodes over time because of the pervasiveness of delusion. It is up to believers to carry the banner of truth even to the very end. Delusion is in evidence as ever and gaining a stronghold on the fabric of society, how we live, who is in control, how we behave, and what we do, etc. The absence of truth brings such a delusion. The eroding of the truth and the erosion of justice brings about blindness. The absence of the truth and absence of law and justice brings apostasy - the complete and wilful turning away from christianity. This has already been seen whereby churchianity has become its replacement.
Showing its ugly face everywhere within what is known to be the modern western christian church, there has been a mass abandonment of what is true christianity. This can be seen where people who call themselves christians prefer to follow false teachers and prophets and are and have been led to astray believing in the prosperity doctrine which has a stranglehold operating within the christian church. From this those looking at the christian church for spiritual help and counsel find that they are being bombarded with the false hope of sowing financial seeds (large amounts of money) to obtain the blessings of God which is totally unscriptual.
The erosion of the justice system has brought rebellion in the Unted Kingdom (and throughout Europe) with the result of people taking to the streets in protest. This is reflected when politicians and bankers have abused the authority given by giving themselves wage rises, claiming expenses not entitled to, and bonuses while pegging pay rises for the rest of the population and allowing the cost of living to spiral without checks.
In 2010, a fifth of burglaries in the United Kingdom were committed by suspects on bail. Almost one in six robberies was carried out by criminals who were awaiting trial for other offences. Such shocking figures have revealed that those on bail are behind a massive crime wave hitting our nation. Figures could be even worse for 2011 as the Justice Secretary Ken Clarke is bent on releasing criminals back on to the streets due to overcrowding of the prison system. Notice his absence during the recent riots that hit many towns and cities in August 2011. Rioters are being convicted by the courts and sent to prison while criminals are being released from prison to accommodate them. Brethren are reporting back this as it does not make any sense and are expecting further disturbances as the financial crisis bites deeper putting people out of work, and the government not able to deal with enormous profits being made by companies and huge amounts of bonuses paid out using the general public as a tool for exploitation.
The Human Rights Act has recently allowed paedophiles having rights to be alone with their children and to return back to live in the areas where they were caught grooming and abusing young children, with local authorities wringing their hands saying that there is nothing they can do. Prisoners have been freed because remaining in prison interferes with family life while prisoners have been granted their rights to vote. The list that goes on and on. If those in authority and the courts, to include government ministers and officials cannot work out the difference between right and wrong, the general public and the electorate will lose faith of what remains and left with the British justice system. For with EU law replacing British law by stealth and the legal system falling apart at the seams, what else is coming to erode and displace public confidence. Just read the Word of God to find out!
An recent example of GREED which has taken hold of society has been with the head of the train company called Stagecoach who received a windfall of £50 million while rail passengers are facing a hike of 13 percent with the government railway fuel subsidy being considered by Brussels (under EU policy) to be abolished making way, for example, an annual railway season ticket costing say £1400 to be increased to £4200. People are calling out this to be daylight robbery!
What is no longer amusing is that the culture of compensation is costing the UK millions as seen in the last four years with the prison system paying out £60 million to convicted prisoners, those visiting them, and prison staff. It just not make any sense while victims of crime are having to pay out vast amounts of money to get representation, denied legal aid, while perpetrators are given legal aid and free access to the legal system.
The absence of justice is lawlessness - the spirit of Antichrist which eventually will become out of control leading onto the Man of Lawlessness to take the helm of leadership and to control the world. What has come to light of countries who have turned against Israel and are supporting the cause of having a separate state of Palestine within the state of Israel, is causing alarm amongst brethren all over the world. What is disturbing is that the Vatican has come down on the side of the Palestinians in the Jewish - Arab conflict. It is believed that in doing so, Almighty God is passing judgement of those countries. Japan and Norway are just two examples who have expressed support for the Palestinian cause. Over 130 of the 192 member states of the United Nations are expected to support the establishment of a Palestinian state if it is brought up for a vote at the General Assembly this coming September. Watch out for those countries because the 20th September 2011 has been penned in whereby the United Nations Assembly are expected to vote on this issue. Watch out also for Iran whose aim is to wipe Israel off the map and supporting terrorist groups such as HAMAS and HEZBOLLAH. Notice too of what happened in the 20th century for in December 1988, 104 countries supported a resolution recognizing the declaration of a independent Palestinian state that was put forward by PLO chairman Yasser Arafat at the Palestinian National Council a month earlier in Algiers. In December 2008 the UN General Assembly ratified the Palestinians' right to establish a state. But then, both the secular media and most of the christian media, failed to disclose to their readers what was going on. It is only when conflict emerges which becomes news! The conflict that is coming into view and controversial has been extended to who will control the City of David called Jerusalem?

In the 21st century there is showing no respect to Almighty God or any recognition as Him being the Creator. REPENTANCE has become a word not mentioning by leaders within the christian church and government ministers of our nation to include the British PrimeMinister. REPENTANCE has been swept and shoved under the carpet with an excuse not for the 21st century because it is obsolete and not needed.
The consequences are slowly and surely being revealed by Almighty God to His people. One has only to look as to what is happening all over planet earth - which will go bad from worse and prophesied in the Book of Revelation. For rebellion has taken root in the hearts of many - anti God!
