When I first began playing football around the age of 57, I was absolutely useless, so I decided to have some training and because I love the game so much I trained hard.
BUT I am so grateful to Paul Sevier and many others, who encouraged me and put up with me through the years.

I recently moved to Spain where i currently play two or three times a week and again have continued to improve…. I am now 65 and I thank God for the energy to be able to play alongside men in their late twenties, early thirties and am able to contribute to the game with often scoring one or two goals.

My Veterans team here in Spain were invited to take part in a small tournament in Morocco (Tanger) where there was the need for my penalty to make or break our team going through to the next round and by God´s grace it was a cracker… in recognition of this, the team very kindly let me go up and receive the cup. What an honour and a privilege.

To all those out there, don't let old age put you off continuing to play football or even start playing, for there is a great scripture which says: ¨I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me¨ Philippians 4:13 (and of course to Paul who trained me)
Thank you one and all and God bless you,
Howard (H to some).
