Tom Chacko has been working as a Bible Teacher/Evangelist for the past 28 years. He has travelled to over 69 countries around the world. Originally from India, Tom has been living in the United Kingdom(UK). For the past 33 years. Up until April 2001, Tom has been working as the Regional Secretary for the Alliance of Asian Christians (AAC), UK. He also was the Chairman of the AAC for three years.
Tom has served on the management council of the Evangelical Alliance (EA). Tom currently serves on the board of Interserve, UK and on the committee of Urban Vision (formerly known as the Ministry Amongst Asians in Britain [MAB]). Tom is an honorary board member of the Cornerstone Ministries International (CMI), a ministry dedicated to working among foreign prisoners within the prison establishments around the world. He is also a chaplain to Moriel Ministries International, a ministry which seeks to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible.
In 2000 Tom was invited to sit on the committee of the Cultural Diversity Advisory Group to the Media (CDAGM). CDAGM is a secular organisation which seeks to advice various media groups in the UK about their cultural diversity policies and programming. In 2003 Tom was invited to join the Advisory Council of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on which he served for three years.
Tom is a graduate of the London School of Theology (formerly known as London Bible College[LBC]), from where he graduated with a BA (Hons.) in Theology and a Diploma in Evangelism. Tom is a former Governor of the Westfields School in Yateley, Hampshire, where he currently lives with his family. Tom also helps to lead the Gateway Fellowship (Truth Seekers) meetings in Yateley.
In his spare time Tom enjoys reading, music, photography, travelling and playing Badminton, Darts and Cricket. Tom is married to Dorothy and they have a son, Michael George who is twelve years old and a daughter, Kezia Mary, who is six years old.
